About The Position

The UW-Green Bay Esports Lounge, opened in February 2022, is equipped with 30 gaming PCs and 4 Nintendo Switch consoles, available to all students for 12 hours on weekdays and 7 hours on weekends during the semester. The program supports competitive teams in six game titles: Rocket League, VALORANT, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It also features an in-house broadcast studio for live-streaming matches. These teams primarily compete in the Wisconsin Esports Conference, often leading to a regional LAN event before the championship LAN. Each team's experience is centered on a semester-long goal, with practice schedules developed in alignment with student-athletes' objectives. Rosters are formed through open tryouts up to three times annually, incorporating student-athlete feedback, and student leadership significantly influences the team environment.
