About The Position

ITSS owns and operates the annual Carolina Games Summit, hosting events across the eastern United States and collaborating with numerous existing events. This is a volunteer position for the collaboration with South East Game Exchange in Greenville, SC, taking place from July 17th - 19th, 2026. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to various tasks before, during, and after the event. This role is suitable for those who wish to volunteer for a few days or be deeply involved in event creation and year-round support.

Requirements

• A love of video games.
• Strong work ethic with high standards of quality.
• Willingness to contribute to make the event a success long term.
• Must be over the age of 18 or have parents' permission to volunteer.
• Open schedule.
• A recommendation letter from a parent or current/former employer.
• Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Be deeply involved in the creation of the event helping year round.

Responsibilities

• Assist tournament directors or other volunteers.
• Help register attendees and answer their questions about the event.
• Test and set up equipment.
• Market the event.
• Introduce and manage tournament brackets.
• Manage free play areas.
• Provide general hospitality services such as cleanup and tear-down.
