The UW-Green Bay Esports Lounge, opened in February 2022, is equipped with 30 gaming PCs and 4 Nintendo Switch consoles, available to all students. The program supports competitive teams in six game titles: Rocket League, VALORANT, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It also features an in-house broadcast studio for live-streaming matches. These teams primarily compete in the Wisconsin Esports Conference, often leading to regional LAN events before the championship LAN. Each team's semester experience is goal-oriented, with practice schedules developed in collaboration with student-athletes. Rosters are formed through open tryouts up to three times annually, incorporating student-athlete feedback, and student leadership is a key aspect of the team environment. Esports Game Coaches for UW-Green Bay serve as head coaches for Valorant, responsible for leading the team to competitive success as defined by the team, while also fostering student development. This role offers a flexible work environment, allowing for either in-person or remote work, though in-person attendance is preferred.
