About The Position

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a ESM Enterprise Architecture Support to provide technical expertise across enterprise-level server environments, ensuring alignment between architectural decisions, system interdependencies, and the organization’s strategic vision. The contractor will guide Product Groups and support teams, identify architectural risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure enterprise systems maintain high availability and performance. This position supports enterprise architecture analysis, contributes to technical documentation, and collaborates with global teams to maintain consistency and operational excellence across the Clients’ Enterprise Network (MCEN). Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting enterprise‑level systems architecture in DoD or large‑scale environments.
  • Strong technical background with Microsoft server platforms, AD/Exchange, and enterprise IT architectures.
  • Ability to identify system interdependencies, analyze risks, and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and briefings for leadership.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with geographically dispersed teams.
  • CASP+ CE, CISSP, CCNP Security, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in Microsoft enterprise technologies including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Analyze enterprise technical architecture and report findings to Client leadership.
  • Offer architectural recommendations aligned with strategic enterprise objectives.
  • Coordinate with global technical teams via teleconference and video conference to address operational issues impacting the MCEN.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for ESM technical initiatives.
  • Deliver architecture presentations and technical documentation to senior leadership.
  • Provide architecture guidance, technical training, and cross-team mentorship for Client operations staff.
  • Support troubleshooting of complex enterprise systems and interdependent technologies.
