About The Position

The ERP Consultant will maintain and support the Vertex system, including tax rule setup, tax calculation verification, and version management. The role analyzes customer requirements and configures system use to meet business objectives, and supports deployment through project planning, data conversion, and unit or integration testing. The consultant provides user support across relevant U.S. sites, identifies end-user technical requirements, delivers training and documentation, and maintains user relationships. The position also communicates with headquarters about implementing, managing, and optimizing SAP processes related to tax changes. It identifies process improvements, advises users on process design, documents business processes and inefficiencies, recommends system improvements, and provides backup support for Vertex consultants. The role monitors and reports issue status and performance against operating standards and serves as the primary on-call contact for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.

Requirements

Korean and English bilingual proficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with an information technology focus.
2–5 years of experience as a process consultant or in a similar role.
Full-lifecycle implementation experience with Vertex or a similar U.S. tax system.
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax processes.
Knowledge and experience delivering projects within an Agile framework.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth technical knowledge of SAP.
Project management experience involving conceptualization, organization, planning, test execution, user training, and preparation of training materials and documentation.
Experience and understanding of the system development life cycle, application development dynamics, and information technology practices and methods.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including teamwork, understanding business and customer requirements, and effective communication.
Ability to challenge established practices, draw relevant conclusions, and persist while taking calculated risks.
Ability to understand customer priorities and work toward accomplishing them.
Ability to perform under pressure or in crisis situations and make sound decisions to resolve problems.
Ability to manage time and attention according to assigned roles and objectives.

Responsibilities

Perform unit or integration testing as needed.
Provide support to users across relevant U.S. sites; identify technical requirements, deliver training and documentation, maintain user relationships, and provide ongoing support.
Communicate with headquarters about implementation, management, and optimization of SAP processes related to tax changes.
Formulate process improvements based on support issues to reduce recurring support needs.
Guide users in defining or designing processes to meet customer requirements.
Document customer business processes, identify inefficiencies, recommend system improvements, and provide backup support for Vertex consultants as needed.
Monitor and report issue status and review performance against operating standards.
Provide information and reports on results.
Serve as the primary on-call support person for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
