About The Position

The ERP Consultant will maintain the Vertex system, including tax rule setup, tax calculation verification, and version management. The role analyzes customer requirements and configures system use to meet business objectives, develops project plans and timelines for solution deployment, assists with data conversion, and performs unit or integration testing as needed. The consultant provides end-user support across relevant company sites, identifies technical requirements, and delivers training, documentation, and ongoing assistance. The role coordinates with headquarters on implementation management and optimization of SAP processes related to tax changes, develops process improvements to reduce recurring support issues, and advises users on process design. Responsibilities also include documenting business processes, identifying inefficiencies, recommending system improvements, monitoring and reporting issue status and performance, and serving as the primary on-call contact for troubleshooting and resolving system issues. The position may provide backup support for Vertex consultants.

Requirements

Bilingual Korean is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with an information technology focus.
2–5 years of experience as a process consultant or in a similar role.
Full lifecycle Vertex or similar U.S. tax system implementation experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax processes.
Knowledge and experience delivering projects in an agile framework.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth technical knowledge working with SAP.
Project management experience involving conceptualizing, organizing, planning, test execution, user training, and documentation of training materials.
Demonstrated understanding of the system development life cycle, application development dynamics, and information technology practices and methods.
Experience with full lifecycle Vertex implementation, especially integration with SAP.
Experience with Sales and Use Tax processes.
Experience in solution design, implementation, and post-implementation support.
Ability to create and perform test plans, execute testing, and track results.
Ability to produce training materials and documents.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and partnerships that provide information, assistance, and support.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, including understanding business and customer requirements.
Willingness to challenge established practices, draw relevant conclusions, and take calculated risks.

Responsibilities

Formulate process improvements based on support issues to minimize recurring problems.
Provide strategic guidance on process definition and design; document business processes, identify inefficiencies, recommend system improvements, and provide backup for Vertex consultants.
Monitor and report issue status and review performance against operating standards.
Serve as the primary on-call support person for troubleshooting and correcting system issues.
