About The Position

Mortenson is hiring an Equipment Solutions Manager for Data Center Solutions. The role partners with other Equipment Solutions Managers to provide leadership and project assistance. The position is based in Amarillo, Texas, and includes an expectation of 50% travel. Interior and exterior responsibilities are required.

The manager oversees owned equipment, storage, tooling, inventory, equipment planning and scheduling, logistics, rental software contracts, vendor relationships, budgets, and financial forecasting. The role also focuses on improving warehouse and equipment-yard efficiency through 5S strategies, leading department initiatives and team members, supporting training and development, and encouraging innovation and new processes.

The base pay range is $113,500–$170,300, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Visa sponsorship is not offered; applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in construction, equipment rental, and/or project management, or 10+ years of equivalent professional trade experience.
• Structured cabling or electrical technology experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction equipment and materials.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance and service schedules.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize based on workload.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize owned equipment, storage, and tooling.
• Plan and schedule equipment with internal project teams, equipment solutions teams, and third-party vendors.
• Manage large inventories.
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Manage rental software contracts.
• Plan equipment logistics.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Understand construction equipment maintenance, opportunities, constraints, and requirements.
