About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking a temporary Equipment Operator to support its production team in meeting customer needs and deadlines. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press equipment to ensure smooth production and products that meet quality standards. The operator also prepares inks and materials, monitors production quality, coordinates with the team to prioritize jobs, and maintains an organized, safe work area. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Mechanical ability and interest in working with production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
Ability to set and adjust mechanisms to required tolerances.
Solid reading and comprehension skills to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others understand.
Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
Ability to constantly operate machinery and handle printed materials.
Ability to move throughout the facility frequently.
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry more than 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications and company quality standards.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance.
Mix and prepare inks to achieve the required color and consistency.
Check paper type, size, color, and quantity before each job.
Inspect printing plates and verify their format.
Monitor production runs for quality and consistency.
Work with the production team to prioritize jobs and make adjustments to meet deadlines.
Keep the work area organized and maintain a strong focus on safety.
