About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Temporary Equipment Operator to support its production team in meeting customer needs and deadlines. The role sets up, operates, and maintains printing press equipment, follows job specifications and company quality standards, and monitors production to ensure quality and consistency. The operator also prepares inks, checks paper and printing plates, coordinates with the production team, and maintains an organized and safe work area. The position is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

Mechanical ability and interest in working with production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
Ability to set and adjust mechanisms to required tolerances.
Solid reading and comprehension skills to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to communicate and exchange information and ideas accurately.
Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
Ability to operate machinery and handle printed materials constantly.
Ability to move throughout the facility frequently.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25+ pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance.
Mix and prepare inks to achieve the required color and consistency.
Check paper type, size, color, and quantity before each job.
Inspect printing plates and verify that the format is correct.
Monitor production runs for quality and consistency.
Work with the production team to prioritize jobs and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
Keep the work area organized and maintain a focus on safety.
