About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking a temporary Equipment Operator to support its production team in meeting customer needs and deadlines. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press equipment, preparing inks and materials, and monitoring production quality. The position works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Taylor Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Mechanical ability and interest in working with production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
Ability to set and adjust mechanisms to required tolerances.
Reading and comprehension skills sufficient to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas.
Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
Ability to operate machinery and handle printed materials constantly.
Ability to move throughout the facility frequently.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 25+ pounds regularly.

Experience working with production or printing equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications and company quality standards.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance.
Mix and prepare inks to achieve the proper color and consistency.
Check paper type, size, color, and quantity before each job.
Inspect printing plates and confirm the format is correct.
Monitor production runs for quality and consistency.
Work with the production team to prioritize jobs and make adjustments to meet deadlines.
Keep the work area organized and maintain a focus on safety.
