Requirements

Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.
Excellent mechanical skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate machines like bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, rollers, forklifts, loaders, graders, and other specialized equipment used for digging, installing utilities, moving material, compacting, grading, etc.
Inspect equipment before use to ensure it's in good working condition, including checking fluid levels, tires, and overall mechanical condition.
Perform routine maintenance like cleaning, greasing, and basic repairs.
Follow all safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure that the work area is safe, well-marked, and free of hazards.
Adhere to regulations and guidelines for safe equipment operation.
Prepare job sites by clearing, demolition, hauling debris and/ or leveling ground.
Follow project plans and blueprints to execute tasks accurately.
Load and unload trucks and other vehicles as needed.
Clean and maintain equipment after use.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, performing basic repairs or maintenance.
Follow project timelines and work efficiently to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
