Equipment Operator - Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)

About The Position

As part of SiteOne Landscape Supply’s team, the Bilingual Equipment Operator safely and effectively operates heavy equipment to load, offload, or transport landscape supplies, including mulch, topsoil, soil amendments, and raw materials. The operator performs assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness and proficiency to minimize the risk of personal injury or property damage. The role may also support receiving materials, inventory, order processing and fulfillment, and other general labor tasks. English/Spanish bilingual ability is preferred, as indicated in the job title.

Requirements

Knowledge of proper safety and maintenance protocols for the equipment used.
Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, snow, and rain.
Ability to read and write to record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and/or excavators is strongly preferred.
Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely and proficiently operate assigned equipment, including front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and directives.
Clean and maintain equipment as scheduled or required.
Advise branch leadership of equipment maintenance or repair requirements.
Assist with other management-assigned duties, which may include receiving materials, inventory, order processing and fulfillment, and general labor.
