About The Position

Equipment Operators are needed for projects throughout Southern Idaho. This role may require availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, and may involve traveling out of town for various jobs. Knife River is committed to helping military personnel transition to civilian life and is actively seeking veterans for its workforce, recognizing the transferable skills from military roles to this Equipment Operator position.

Requirements

• Ability to hold and maintain a driver's license in accordance with all state regulations.
• Experience working with Excavators, Loaders and other heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• Skills transferable from military roles such as Pavement and Construction Equipment Journeyman/Apprentice/Helper (Air Force), Motor Transport Operator/General Construction Equipment Operator/Heavy Construction Equipment Operator/Horizontal Construction Engineer (Army), Equipment Operator Basic/Advanced (Navy), or Motor Vehicle Operator (Marines).

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, and other heavy construction equipment.
• Work on projects throughout Southern Idaho.
• Be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, overtime, possible nights, and some Saturdays.
• Travel out of town for various jobs as needed.
