About The Position

Requirements

• Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

• Obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within the probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Operate buses, trucks, tractors, and other equipment up to 32,000 pounds to support daily hospital needs
• Mow grass, trim brush, and complete outdoor tasks that keep the grounds safe and attractive
• Use plows, blowers, and deicing equipment to clear roads and walkways during winter weather
• Move consumers, staff, supplies, food, laundry, and materials on and off the hospital grounds
• Clean, inspect, and perform minor repairs to vehicles and tools to keep them in safe working condition
• Complete inspections and follow safety standards during all operations

Benefits

• Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).
