About The Position

The Equipment Logistics Technician conducts targeted rounds in active patient care areas to retrieve equipment for processing and redistribution. The role cleans, evaluates, inspects, and delivers designated medical devices and equipment, including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts, and procedural trays. It also includes documenting work in an electronic database, ordering supplies, stocking patient rooms, and deploying supplies to units and departments. The position works days, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland.

Requirements

• Self-motivation and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
• Computer skills and ability to perform a labor-intensive job.
• Good communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to walk long distances while pushing a cart of equipment or supplies.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing more than 35 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull loaded equipment carts weighing more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in writing, email, or in person.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hospital or logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
