About The Position

The Equipment Logistics Tech I performs targeted rounds in active patient areas to recover medical assets for processing and redistribution. The role cleans, evaluates, inspects, and delivers medical devices and equipment, including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts, and procedural trays. The position documents work in an electronic database and may also involve ordering supplies, monitoring adherence to unit or department budgets, and stocking patient rooms or deploying supplies.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Ability to remain stationary and to be mobile for extended periods.
• Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system.
• Ability to operate a computer, other office equipment, and emergency equipment.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to move or transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds, carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to inspect equipment and install, repair, and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures, or structures.
• Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment, and use cleaning products.
• Ability to distinguish color.
• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, deliver, evaluate, and inspect specified medical devices.

• Deliver and recover specialty carts and procedural trays.
• May order supplies and ensure adherence to the unit or department budget.
• May stock patient rooms or deploy supplies for use within the unit or department.
