About The Position

Install, maintain, service, and manage equipment installations at all company locations and customer sites. Responsibilities include specifying appropriate equipment for each application, assisting with equipment layout, facilitating equipment orders when needed, and enabling installation at customer sites. The role also involves equipment oversight, preventive and predictive maintenance, repair tracking, vendor-coordinated rebuilds, and on-site equipment setup, teardown, and repair. The technician must follow company policies and safety guidelines and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

10 years of experience in baler repair and installation.
10 years of experience as a mechanic working with both heavy equipment and recycling equipment.
CDL license.
High school diploma.
Must be able and available to travel on short notice and work a varying schedule.
Professional attitude and conduct.
Multi-tasking, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.
Professional and courteous attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and company policies and procedures.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
At least 18 years of age due to the nature of the working environment.
Flexibility to meet business and customer needs.
Must successfully complete a drug screen and background check.
Must take the Caedus placement test for skill assessment.

Responsibilities

Weld.
Develop critical task lists and timelines and ensure tasks are completed as scheduled.
Manage project activities and communicate key repairs.
Oversee equipment and track internal and external equipment installations and placement.
Maintain equipment specifications.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Develop and manage maintenance programs for internal and external equipment.
Track repair history through the end of equipment useful life.
Provide key metrics, including mean time to failure and downtime.
Manage equipment rebuilds with vendors.
Travel to all locations to set up, tear down, or repair equipment on site.
Follow company policies, the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and company safety guidelines.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Wear required personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas.
