About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Shop Equipment Installation and Repair Technician to install, maintain, and repair automotive shop equipment while ensuring optimal performance and safety. The role involves significant travel to VIP locations to provide hands-on support and expertise. The technician works with clients and internal sales and customer service teams to address equipment needs and issues, and keeps current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in automotive shop equipment installation and repair.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50% for client visits.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools, and work in various environments.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or certification in automotive technology or a related field.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair automotive shop equipment, including lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools.
Conduct on-site evaluations to assess equipment needs and recommend installations and upgrades.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide timely, effective solutions.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Train associates on the proper use and maintenance of installed equipment.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and inventory.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support client satisfaction and address equipment-related issues.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in equipment installation and repair.
