Behavioral Health Network of Greater St Louis•St. Louis, MO
•$55,000 - $75,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Behavioral Health Network of Greater St. Louis (BHN) is hiring a contracted Case Manager for a 10-month pilot initiative serving high-need, high-risk individuals with opioid addiction who have been referred to the EPICC program three or more times. The role provides intensive, individualized case management and care coordination for participants experiencing challenges with treatment engagement, service access, and continuity of care. The position is full-time, anticipated to require 32–40 hours per week, and the contract ends August 31, 2027. Continued employment may be possible depending on funding and performance. The role offers flexibility because it is contractual. The Case Manager identifies barriers to treatment and recovery, connects participants with community-based services, and coordinates care among EPICC staff, peer recovery support specialists, treatment providers, hospitals, and other community partners. Using person-centered, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approaches, the Case Manager helps participants navigate complex care systems, improve engagement in substance use disorder treatment and recovery-support services, and increase stability while reducing the likelihood of repeated overdose-related emergency department visits and EPICC referrals. EPICC is a collaborative opioid overdose response initiative connecting people encountered through emergency rooms and emergency medical services with community-based substance use treatment and recovery services, with emphasis on medication-assisted treatment. The program uses intensive outreach and engagement, provides opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution, and aims to increase access to treatment and reduce future overdoses and emergency department utilization. The Case Manager works in a hybrid setting, with occasional travel to meetings in BHN’s seven-county region.
