About The Position

The EPIC Utility supports restaurant service by clearing and resetting tables, preparing them for guest arrival, and assisting servers with timely food and beverage service. The role monitors guest needs, keeps dining areas clean, and maintains assigned stations according to venue and Department of Health standards. It also involves attending pre-shift meetings, maintaining consistent attendance, working collaboratively with venue and kitchen staff, and declaring tips through the time and attendance system at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Availability to work the required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must meet professional appearance standards prescribed by company policy.
• Ability to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Ability to work in constricting areas.
• Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded or noisy environments.
• Physical mobility, with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds, and to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while performing duties in varying work areas, including confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables for new seating according to venue standards.
• Ensure tables are ready for guests’ arrival.
• Approach newly seated guests and serve bread, butter, water, and similar items promptly and pleasantly, coordinating with servers to expedite service.
• Pick up completed orders from the kitchen and deliver them for servers.
• Monitor tables, anticipate and respond to guest requests, and clear tables after meals to maintain a clean eating area.
• Restock and clean the assigned station at the end of the shift according to Department of Health standards.
• Attend pre-shift meetings.
• Maintain a regular and consistent attendance record.
• Work as a team member with servers, venue hosts, supervisors, and kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
• Declare tips through the time and attendance system at the end of each shift.
