About The Position

The Epic Sr. Analyst, Radiant works in the University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department and initiates implementation, build, modification, and maintenance of complex applications. The role collaborates with stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize application configuration, function, and access, and serves as a primary support contact for application end-users. The analyst initiates testing and workflow documentation, analyzes the impact of information technology on clinical work processes, identifies issues, and guides their resolution. The position supports and provides oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts, including assistance with service tickets, application changes, data retrieval, and day-to-day operations. It also collaborates with trainers on documentation and training strategies for application changes and new features, and works with stakeholders and business communities to ensure the application meets UHealth’s business and clinical needs. The role participates in on-call rotations, applicable committees, and weekly project meetings; reviews project and issue status with leadership; and may travel to the job site for go-lives, conferences, rounding, or senior leadership meetings. The position reports to the Radiant Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Epic Radiant Certification.
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Proficiency in computer software, such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare or a healthcare-related organization is preferred.
Familiarity with radiology workflows and procedures.
Understanding of how the radiology department interacts operationally with other areas, such as ordering physicians, the billing office, and medical records.
Understanding of integrations or interfaces between Radiant, PACS, and speech recognition or dictation systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize application configuration, function, and access.
Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users.
Initiate the design, development, implementation, build, modification, and maintenance of the application.
Initiate all phases of testing and document workflow design.
Analyze information technology in clinical work processes and validate impacts to workflow.
Identify issues and guide work to resolve them.
Provide oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts.
Support junior staff in evaluating and resolving service tickets, identifying and implementing application changes, retrieving requested data, and carrying out day-to-day operations.
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Work with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure the application meets UHealth’s business and clinical needs.
Participate in on-call rotations and support, and attend and participate in applicable committees.
Communicate regularly with team members, including participation in weekly project team meetings.
Review project and issue status with leadership on an ongoing basis.
Remain knowledgeable about UHealth policies, procedures, and business operations; adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
