About The Position

This contract role supports a large academic medical center during a high-volume regulatory reporting season. The analyst provides expert Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose regulatory reporting support, helping ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and compliant. The position is fully remote and works as part of a dedicated regulatory team, primarily within the Epic ecosystem and associated reporting tools. The assignment is expected to last approximately six months, with typical professional business hours aligned to organizational needs. The analyst works with regulatory, clinical, and technical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translate them into Epic build and reports, and document solutions. The role includes designing, building, testing, optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Epic reporting solutions in ambulatory and population health settings. It also involves communicating project status, risks, and timelines, contributing regulatory reporting expertise, and sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Epic Analyst focused on regulatory workflows and reporting.
Active Epic Healthy Planet certification in good standing.
Active Epic Compass Rose certification in good standing.
Demonstrated experience with Epic reporting tools and processes, including building and maintaining regulatory reports.
Experience working in ambulatory or population health settings within Epic.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and regulatory concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Solid documentation skills and the ability to produce clear, organized, audit-ready documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Support a high-volume reporting season by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory reports within Epic.
Ensure Epic build and configuration for regulatory workflows align with current requirements and internal standards.
Design, build, test, and optimize reporting solutions using Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose in ambulatory and population health settings.
Collaborate with the regulatory team to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into Epic build and reports, and document solutions.
Develop, modify, and maintain Epic-based reports and dashboards for regulatory submissions and internal compliance monitoring.
Troubleshoot Epic build, reporting logic, and data-quality issues in partnership with technical and clinical stakeholders.
Create and maintain documentation for build changes, reporting specifications, test plans, and outcomes to support audit and regulatory needs.
Communicate project status, risks, and timelines to team members and stakeholders.
Provide subject-matter expertise in regulatory reporting during meetings, planning sessions, and reviews.
Share best practices and lessons learned to support team knowledge transfer.
