About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in a healthcare setting by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Previous experience in cleaning or environmental services is preferred, as is knowledge of infection control principles. The role requires the ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team, and pay attention to detail. Physical ability to lift and stand for extended periods is necessary, along with familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect common areas and restrooms according to strict guidelines and protocols.
- Manage and dispose of waste properly.
- Provide floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing.
- Dust, wipe, and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other specialized tools.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
