About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring an Environmental Services Technician for its East Athens store. The role is responsible for keeping the store clean and presentable through housekeeping and janitorial work. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. The full-time schedule consists of four consecutive 10-hour days; the part-time schedule consists of the remaining three days, also at 10 hours per day.

The technician receives task outlines and training to use buffers and floor scrubbers. Work is performed in accordance with ISO regulations and company and state policies intended to support safe and secure work. The role may involve working in heat, cold, and dust, as well as physically processing donated items by loading and unloading them.

Requirements

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to physically process donated items by loading and unloading them, with or without accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing.
