Environmental Service Technician Part-Time $15.00 - East Athens Store
About The Position
Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to help keep its store clean and presentable for customers. The work includes housekeeping and janitorial tasks, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, polishing, taking care of trash and bathrooms, and processing donated items through loading and unloading. The technician will be trained to use buffers and floor scrubbers and will receive task outlines. Work must follow applicable ISO regulations and company and state policies to ensure safety and security. Full-time and part-time schedules are available: the full-time schedule is four consecutive 10-hour days, and the part-time schedule is the remaining three days, also 10 hours per day. The role may involve working in heat, cold, and dust.
Requirements
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodations.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
- Ability to physically process donated items through loading and unloading, with or without accommodations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience.
