About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to help keep its store clean and appealing to customers through housekeeping and janitorial work. The role includes dusting, mopping, sweeping, polishing, managing trash, and cleaning bathrooms. The technician will be trained to use buffers and floor scrubbers and will receive task outlines for assigned duties. Work must follow applicable ISO regulations and company and state policies to ensure safety and security. The position may involve working in heat, cold, and dust, as well as physically processing donated items by loading and unloading them, with or without accommodations. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The full-time schedule is four consecutive 10-hour days; the part-time schedule is the remaining three days, also 10 hours per day.

Requirements

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, and dust.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodian experience.
