About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital–Bridgeton, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Technician/EVS Housekeeping team member in Bridgeton, Missouri. The position is scheduled 1–2 days per week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., at a PRN rate of $20.50 per hour.

The role maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby. The technician also helps maintain a safe environment and replenishes cleaning and disposable supplies.

The hospital provides rehabilitation care for people facing challenges related to brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is part of onboarding and must be completed before the employee’s first day of work.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.
• Complete post-offer employment testing (POETs) before the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor or the appropriate department.
• Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
