About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital–Bridgeton, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician/EVS Housekeeping team member in Bridgeton, Missouri. The position is PRN, scheduled 1–2 days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., at a PRN rate of $20.50.

The role maintains a clean work environment in assigned areas of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby. The technician also helps maintain a safe environment by reporting unsafe conditions and replenishes disposable supplies.

The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is part of onboarding and must be completed before the first day of work.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.
• Complete post-offer employment testing (POETs) before the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor or appropriate department.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
