About The Position

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, infection control, and beautification of the buildings and grounds. The role includes making beds and removing and disposing of trash and waste. The technician exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times. The position is full-time, with hours varying as scheduled, at the Sistersville General Hospital Campus in Sistersville, West Virginia.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and/or experience.
• Ability to read, write, and do math at a level generally demonstrated by a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas according to outline.
• Clean patient rooms as directed.
• Assist with trash management as directed.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment.
• Make beds and perform trash and waste removal and disposal.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit the MHS Standards of Excellence.
