EVS/Housekeeping Part-Time
About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between SSM Health and Select Medical, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeping team member for its Lake St. Louis, Missouri location. This part-time position is scheduled every Friday, every other Saturday and Sunday, and two days during the week in weeks when the employee is not scheduled for the weekend. The shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling six days per two-week pay period. Compensation is $19 to $24.10, based on experience. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Environmental Services Technician maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned areas and replenishes supplies. Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is required as part of onboarding and must be completed before the first day of work.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
- Help maintain a safe environment by immediately reporting unsafe conditions to a supervisor or appropriate department.
- Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
