About The Position

The EVS/Linen Technician 1 works under direct supervision and performs general cleaning, linen, and maintenance services that help maintain a sanitary care environment. The position includes routine cleaning and maintenance, linen duties, and care and operation of specialized floor equipment. Employees follow established policies and procedures, approved aseptic techniques, infection-control practices, universal precautions, and safety requirements for cleaning solutions and personal protective equipment. The role resolves routine questions and issues and refers more complex matters to higher levels. Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform linen duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Operate and care for specialized floor equipment as needed.
Strip, wax, buff, scrub, shampoo, extract, sweep, and mop floors.
Follow a daily cleaning schedule using approved aseptic techniques, specialized cleaning processes, and a variety of cleaning devices.
Use cleaning solutions safely and properly, follow safety precautions, and wear personal protective equipment when necessary.
Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
Resolve routine questions, issues, and problems; refer more complex issues to higher levels.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
