About The Position
St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper 1 for its Environmental Services department at McCall Hospital. This entry-level role provides foundational experience and hands-on skill development in a supportive healthcare environment. The EVS/Linen Technician 1 works under direct supervision and performs general cleaning, linen, and maintenance services to help maintain a sanitary environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform linen duties according to established policies and procedures.
- Operate and care for specialized floor equipment as needed, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, shampooing, extracting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Follow a daily cleaning schedule using approved aseptic techniques, specialized cleaning processes, and a variety of cleaning devices.
- Use cleaning solutions safely and properly, follow safety precautions, and wear personal protective equipment when necessary.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Resolve routine questions, issues, and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
