Environmental Services Technician Associate
About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician Associate cleans and disinfects assigned areas according to department procedures, removes medical waste, trash, and linens, and performs interim and restorative maintenance of hard floors, carpets, and upholstery. The role is fully functioning within one cleaning area and may work across department sites to provide coverage or meet business needs. The technician cleans, disinfects, and stocks patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas; handles linens and waste streams; and assembles, maintains, and stores the equipment and supplies needed for assigned tasks. The role includes coordinating with team members, reporting maintenance or specialized cleaning needs, and helping visitors and employees find their way through the hospital.
Requirements
- Fully function within one cleaning area.

- Public service or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
- Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams, including medical waste and trash.
- Perform interim and restorative maintenance of hard floors, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
- Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies according to department standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
- Report general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in the work area.
- Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
- Work across department sites when needed for coverage and business needs.
