About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1 to join the team at UT Health North Campus Tyler, a 174-bed acute care and behavioral health hospital located on the UT Tyler Health Science Center campus in Tyler, Texas. This 2nd-shift leadership role is responsible for managing daily environmental services operations and leading a team of 27 frontline employees. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure high standards of cleanliness and regulatory compliance, and foster a safe, positive patient and staff experience.

Requirements

Experience leading and managing a housekeeping team
Leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system
Strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
In-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures
Experience with vendor and contract management
3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience
Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
Proficiency with computers and other technology
Able to work a 2nd shift [3:00pm to 11:30pm] schedule
Occasional weekends are possible, however this position is generally Monday - Friday

Nice To Haves

Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred
Hospital, healthcare experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
Effectively manages the Unit Operating System
Support a diverse and inclusive workforce
