About The Position

UPMC Horizon-Greenville is hiring a Flex Full-Time Environmental Services Associate to help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for patients and staff. The position rotates across all three shifts and may include weekends, off shifts, and rotating holidays. No on-call duties are required. Occasional travel to UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley may be required. The role requires following written and verbal instructions and using housekeeping equipment. The employee may work in rooms where medications are stored but is not permitted to have contact with medications.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
• Act 34 licensure, certification, or clearance.
• No contact with medications is allowed.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned, following established cleaning procedures.
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure they are properly cleaned and in good repair, and report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in assigned areas.
• Clean assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition and report problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, and boxes; wash walls; spot carpets; and perform other assigned tasks.
