About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. The role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization. The aide must interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff and demonstrate attention to detail while following cleaning protocols.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to the daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; and clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Follow infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
