About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. The role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization. This is a part-time position with varying start times between mornings and afternoons. Working every other weekend and holidays as needed is required. Experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to the daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; and clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
