About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment. The role supports compliance with regulations and quality standards and contributes to a healing environment that fosters patient well-being. The aide cleans hospital areas using a range of equipment and tools, maintains a tidy work environment, and follows established procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations. The position may require work on weekdays and/or weekends and during evenings and/or night shifts, as needed.

Requirements

• Good communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Use high dusters, vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and other tools to perform cleaning duties.
• Handle general office equipment and help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures for handling hazardous materials and potential exposure situations.
