About The Position

The Environmental Project Manager position has the advanced knowledge, experience, and education in applying scientific theory and methods to identify, research, and resolve environmental issues in the areas of regulatory compliance, public health, environmental health, and pollution prevention.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Additional security/criminal background checks maybe required by the contractual/government client(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Wetland Scientist and consulting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wetlands and aquatic resources, Section 401, 404, and Section 10 permitting requirements.
  • Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Indian Affairs expertise.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory agencies that govern aquatic resources, erosion control and site restoration practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency operating GPS and GIS equipment and support software.

Responsibilities

  • May supervise and manage junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to environmental projects. Participate in interviewing and hiring staff.
  • Performs, plans, and executes fieldwork and data collection pursuant to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
  • Performs assessments which may include Wetland and Waters of US Delineations/Determinations to US Army Corps of Engineers procedures, Threatened and Endangered Species habitat assessments, and Vegetation assessments.
  • Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, learn to develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Performs and monitors compliance inspections throughout all construction phases.
  • Collects data with global positioning systems devices and uses, collects, and analyzes Geographic Information Systems data.
  • Records, analyzes, prepares, and evaluates field findings into reports and presentations to project managers, regulatory agency staff, and clients.
  • Meeting and communicating effectively with clients and regulatory agencies while being responsible for establishing and maintaining new and existing relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal cross functioning company teams to meet the goals, needs, and business development of the Company.
  • Relevant project management experience with the ability to lead new corporate development opportunities and acquisitions and the ability to support multiple projects with multifaceted environmental and regulatory issues.
