Entry Level Technician
About The Position
Suburban Volvo Cars is hiring an Entry Level Technician to perform minor vehicle maintenance and inspections and communicate repair and maintenance recommendations to service advisors. Starting pay is $23.00+ per hour, based on experience and certifications, with opportunities for continued growth, training, and advancement. Compensation may take ASE certifications, manufacturer certifications, and relevant automotive experience into account. The role is with a Lithia & Driveway dealership. A high school diploma or equivalent and age 18 or older are required. The workplace is drug-free, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1–2 years of experience as an express/quick lube technician.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, including vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
Nice To Haves
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor maintenance, such as changing engine oil and filters.
- Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspections, including checking tires, brakes, and fluid levels.
- Communicate appropriate customer vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations to the service advisor liaison.
