About The Position

Wheelers of Coloma is seeking an Entry Level Technician to join its growing team. The role focuses primarily on fluid checks and basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fluid-level checks, inspections of belts and filters, and tire inspections and rotations. The company offers in-house training and may pay for ASE/GM training and certifications, with opportunities to progress into higher-paying roles.

Requirements

Deep understanding of automobiles and basic mechanics.
Effective analytical and communication skills, and eagerness to improve.
Ability to learn new technology and service procedures.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

One year in a service department is preferred.

Responsibilities

Test systems and components to ensure they are working properly.
Inspect and refill fluid levels as needed and perform full oil changes.
Drive vehicles for testing and communicate any issues to service advisors.
Inspect tire pressure and tread depth and perform tire rotations as needed.
Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
