About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Construction & Forestry Division is seeking an entry-level technician/mechanic in Oahu, Hawaii. The technician will work on various makes and models of construction and forestry equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner. Work is performed under the guidance of senior technicians as the employee continues to build their skills and knowledge. Pape’ provides training, mentoring, and ongoing support.

Requirements

Working knowledge of equipment.
One or more years of experience working on equipment, preferably in the construction and forestry industry, or a Diesel Tech degree in lieu of experience.
Be a self-starter, a team player, and willing to learn.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with construction and forestry equipment.
Make necessary equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Work on equipment under the guidance of senior technicians.
Continue developing technical skills and knowledge.
