Entry Level HVAC Technician
About The Position
American AC Heat & Plumbing is hiring an Entry Level HVAC Technician and provides a paid seven-week training program; no prior experience is necessary. The role offers an opportunity to learn the trade and build a career with a growing residential service company serving the Los Angeles area. Technicians perform maintenance on customers’ heating and air conditioning systems, explain service, repair, and replacement options, document work and recommendations, and keep their company vehicle organized. Requirements
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; a genuine, personable approach is required.
- Ability to drive revenue from the truck.
- Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Maintain a well-groomed, clean-cut appearance; visible tattoos must be covered and facial piercings are not permitted.
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and maintain focus.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles to customers’ homes and perform maintenance on heating and/or air conditioning systems.
- Offer customers service, repair, or replacement options.
- Document completed service and recommendations using a company iPad.
- Attend weekly training meetings and continually increase industry knowledge.
- Complete other tasks in accordance with the company job description for the position.
- Keep the vehicle neat and organized.

- Technicians earn $22 per hour and are eligible for commissions; the posting gives an average pay range of $55,000–$85,000 for technicians with 1–3 years of experience, depending on skill and performance.
