About The Position

Affordable Home Furnishings is hiring for a hands-on collections and sales role combining customer service, sales, account management, deliveries, and problem-solving. The position involves helping local families furnish their homes and offers a path to advancement into store management for motivated team members. The schedule is typically around 45 hours per week: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM–7:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM; and Saturday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, with one weekday off and Sundays off.

Requirements

Comfortable using computers and technology.
Self-motivated and dependable.
Ability to lift and move furniture and appliances.
Class D chauffeur's driver's license with a good driving record.
Comfortable working both inside the store and out in the field.

Responsibilities

Help customers find furniture, appliances, and electronics.
Build relationships with customers in-store, by phone, and in the community.
Manage customer accounts and collect payments, with daily heavy customer contact by phone and in person.
Assist with deliveries, pickups, and merchandise setup.
Assemble furniture and prepare merchandise for the showroom.
Maintain attractive showroom displays.
Help customers resolve issues and find solutions.
Load and unload merchandise.
Clean and refurbish previously rented merchandise.
Support daily store operations and team goals as directed by management.
