About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Entry-Level Automotive Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at its high-tech Inspection Center in Belton, Missouri. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and teardown, and buffing. Training programs are offered to help entry-level employees develop their skills and progress in pay. The role requires at least six months of professional automotive prepping experience. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Overtime opportunities are available, and mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least six months of professional automotive prepping experience.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
