About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear down, and buffing. Entry-level employees are offered training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The role requires at least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience and pays $22–$24 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, taping, and bagging.
• Unbag vehicles and perform tear down.
• Buff vehicles.
• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
