About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Duties include sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear down, and buffing. Entry-level employees can access training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The position pays $22–$24 per hour, based on experience. The role is in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Mandatory overtime may be required to meet business needs. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver's license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
