About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Prepper to prepare vehicles for paint at its high-tech Inspection Center in Belton, Missouri. The role involves sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and teardown, and buffing. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to support the development of their skills and pay. Candidates must be able to work mandatory overtime when required by business needs. Carvana describes itself as a used automotive retailer with vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on its website. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience.
At least 18 years of age.
A valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Pass a complete background check.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
