General Definition: The Entry Clerk will call trainers in the morning to inform them of upcoming races and make entries. Essential Job Functions: Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required. May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled. Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assigned. Adhere to company standards of performance and safety; follow company policies and procedures. Receive instructions from the Racing Secretary detailing the number and types of races to occur in the upcoming weeks. Make calls to trainers to take entries to fill races. Document horses entering. Print out results of each race day ("overnight") and distribute to appropriate departments. Assist Racing Secretary with ad-hoc projects. Other duties as assigned.
