About The Position

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first-hand experience into the fast-paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site-based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations. The Enterprise IT Support Intern will gain valuable exposure to one of the most impactful roles in a corporation's internal IT team.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school: Auburn University, Kansas State University, Georgia State University, Southern Adventist University, Texas A&M University, University of Kansas
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.
  • Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).

Responsibilities

  • Organize and handle IT ticket requests as they come in
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Facilitate changes and IT based tools and access for staff at all levels
  • Leverage Powershell for initiating solutions
  • Leverage a task/project management log/portfolio to properly distribute requests to other teammates
  • Assist the Technology team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
  • Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.
  • Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate long-term corrective actions.
  • Define and track agile development of software features requested by the business.
